The African Trilogy is a collection of three classic novels by the Nigerian author Chinua Achebe: Things Fall Apart, No Longer at Ease, and Arrow of God. Each book tells a different story, but they are all set in Nigeria during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and explore themes of tradition, colonialism, and the clash of cultures.
Things Fall Apart is perhaps Achebe's most famous work and follows the story of Okonkwo, a respected leader in his community who struggles to adapt to the changes brought by British colonialism. No Longer at Ease is a story about a young Nigerian man who returns to Nigeria after being educated in England, and finds himself struggling to reconcile his traditional values with his new Western education. Arrow of God is a story set in a small village in Nigeria, and follows the conflicts that arise when European colonialism threatens to upset the balance of power.
