The title Hospital Administration is being presented in the form of second revised edition. Efforts have been made to incorporate all the possible topics relevant to the field of hospital administration. Recent pandemic of CO,VID-19 has compelled the planners to rethink over the development of infrastructure in the healthcare sector and planning for makeshift hospital set up on urgent basis, methods for use of personal protective equipment, etc., have become the area of interest in the field of hospital administration. The topics, such as transactional analysis, e-hospital, personal protective equipment and planning consideration for a medical college and its associated hospitals have been given due emphasis and included in this edition. He is life member of IMA, IAPSM, AHA, IPHA, MIAMS, Indian Association of Epidemiologists. He has published research articles in various reputed journals, such as Journal of AHA, Indian Journal of Community Medicine, Journal of Indian Public Health Association. He has presented research papers in various national and international conferences. He has been guest faculty for the subject of Community Medicine, Health Administration and Hospital Administration in the reputed institutions, such as Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SPIMS), Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India and University of Lucknow. He has been examiner for the Health and Hospital Administration in the Universities and Institutes. He has served the Central Health Services (CHS) for more than four decades in the capacity of CMO, DDG (Medical), Additional Director CGHS, Director CGHS, Advisor CGHS, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, Senior Advisor Board of Governors, in supersession to the Medical Council of India (MCI), Senior Advisor National Medical Commission (NMC). He is in the Advisory Board of the Academy of Hospital Administration (AHA).Mamta Joshi MHA PGDHA (Gold Medalist) is graduated in Science from University of Kumaun with special interest in Biological Sciences. She was awarded gold medal in securing first position with highest percentage in PGDHA of University of Lucknow, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. She did MHA from University of Lucknow. She has experience of working in various hospitals in wide range of capacities. She has passion for quality assurance and health planning.She has worked extensively in the '5S' Quality Management System (QMS). She is life member of UP Hospital and Health Administration Reforms Society (UPHHAR). She has been guest faculty to the Department of Social Works for Community Medicine and Public Health, University of Lucknow.
