The Chios gum mastic (mastiha) is an essential ingredient of ELMA gum. Mastiha is a natural resin, known since Antiquity to the people of Eastern Mediterranean countries, who chewed (masticated) it to clean their teeth and sweeten their breath. It was the very first natural chewing gum of the ancient world. 

ELMA chewing gum contains natural Chios gum mastic and mastic oil. ELMA is natural and its flavor, colour and texture can vary in production, since its confection is based on the purest materials. The unique aroma of mastiha quickly gives way to its discreet taste, as no artificial flavor has been added. Its natural characteristics remain almost unchanged, since none of the artificial sweeteners and none of the antioxidants are used for its manufacture.

Ingredients: Sweeteners (Sorbitol, Xylitol, Mannitol), gum base (antioxidant: tocopherol rich extract), Chios mastiha (mastic gum) (5%), Humectant: glycerin, Flavourings: (Chios mastic oil, menthol), Thickener: gum arabic, Colour: titanium dioxide, Glazing agent: carnauba wax, bees wax, shellac.

May contain traces of soy.

ELMA chewing gum does not contain any source of phenylalanine, BHA antioxidants.
